Happy New Year!
Okay, I'm a bit late...okay, really late in wishing a Happy 2009! But better late than never?! Right? Well, I didn't want you to think I had up and died. The Marshall clan is alive and kicking -- maybe too alive and too much kicking. Ever since Steve was home for the week after Christmas we have been working on one project or another. I'll have to post some pictures when I can find my (BLEEPIN') cord to my camera. I hate that my life is dependent on one tiny little cord! If you have any good ideas for organizing the miriad of cords at your house, please share. You must have a husband that loves gadgets, otherwise it is just not fair to suggest something for 3 cords. I have like a million, all for one specific purpose. Sorry, I digress. Back to our projects...We started with getting cement poured in the back of our house. We have a walk out basement but I was a mud pit and mosquito-breeding hutch right out of the door so we finally poured a slab of cement down there in hopes that I can keep my children mud and mosquito free. Okay, the mosquito-free thing is just a wish. It's Georgia. It might be 38degrees outside but I think the mosquito population is still thriving. Digression again... The cement inspired us to work on the basement, which was functional as a childs dumping station but not really anything else. So we painted and Steve is in the process of doing some finishing work that needed to be done since we moved in. It looks awesome...well, way awesom-er than it did. And I'm not afraid to let my kids friends go down there anymore. YIPEE! Well, we are still at work on that so I'm a little behind on everything else that isn't sub-terrainian. I'll post some pictures when I find the cord....
